Gorillaz cartoon members talk "Humanz" and new music in live video interview
They may be only cartoons, but members of Gorillaz Murdoc and 2D participated in a live video interview Thursday morning, which aired on YouTube.
During the interview, which was conducted by BBC Radio 1 DJ MistaJam, Murdoc and 2D discussed the new Gorillaz album Humanz, Donald Trump, and working with '80s icon Grace Jones, whom Murdoc thinks had a crush on him. At the end of the conversation, they promised that even more new Gorillaz music will be on the way.
"That is the one thing that we can only be certain of is that all the time that there is a head on our necks, then there will always be music," 2D said. Murdoc added, "It's an endless supply really. There will be more to come."
"We're not gonna stop until the tell us to," 2D continued, after which Murdoc proclaimed, "And even then, no!"
Gorillaz also shared a new ad for their mixed reality app The Lenz, which is soundtracked by the Humanz song "Charger," which features Grace Jones.
Humanz will be released April 28. Gorillaz will be touring North America this summer in support of the album starting July 8 in Chicago.
