Chester Bennington's widow slams report about a previous suicide attempt
Chester Bennignton's widow Talinda has blasted an article from TMZ that purports to have details about a redacted portion of the late Linkin Park frontman's autopsy report.
According to TMZ, the redacted passage reportedly detailed a November 2016 incident during which Bennington, under the influence of alcohol, tied himself up and threw himself into a pool.
"Fun fact -- When your husband dies by suicide, the L.A. County Coroner’s office will PARAPHRASE your private conversation with them to dramatize and sensationalize the story and then SCUMBAG FILTH like TMZ post it for the world to feast on," Talinda tweeted. "It was redacted to protect all the kids!!"
The autopsy report also details a 2006 incident in which Bennington drank heavily and threatened to kill himself before leaving the house with a gun. That passage was not redacted from the report.
The results of the autopsy confirmed that Bennington died by suicide, and determined that he was not under the influence of drugs at the time of his death.
