Prophets of Rage recently wrapped up their Make America Rage Again tour, but the band won't be slowing down any time soon. The politically charged rap-rock supergroup -- made up of Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, plus Public Enemy's Chuck D and Cypress Hill's B-Real -- plans to keep raging even after November 8.
"This is not a one-off thing just for the election," Commerford tells ABC Radio.
"This is a real band that I'm very excited to be able to be in when I'm 83, you know?" he laughs.
In fact, the Prophets…
Disturbed's "The Sound of Silence" is coming to virtual reality. The band has released a new, 360-degree video for their hit cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic, which you can watch through the VR app Littlstar.
Directed by Matt Mahurin, the VR video for "The Sound of Silence" delves deeper into the motifs of technology and dystopia.
"It was a thrill and a challenge (and maybe a bit ironic) to use the innovative and immersive world of VR to explore the disconnect of direct human connection that results from the addictive world of social media," says Mahurin in a…
Avenged Sevenfold released an entire new album called The Stage Friday morning, but that's not where the surprises ended. For example, the 15-minute closing track "Exist" features a cameo from none other than famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
"The song came from the idea of wanting to replicate the Big Bang in a heavy-metal sort of way," frontman M. Shadows tells Rolling Stone of "Exist." "Like, 'OK, this is what it would have sounded like when this happened!' It's like a huge classical piece."
Shadows originally conceived "Exist" as an instrumental, but guitarist Synyster Gates suggested the song should feature at least some…
Wrigley Field will host its first World Series game since 1945 tonight when the Chicago Cubs take on the Cleveland Indians for Game 3 of the 2016 Fall Classic. Taking part in the celebration will be Fall Out Boy frontman and hometown hero Patrick Stump, who will sing the national anthem before the game.
Stump and the rest of Fall Out Boy performed at Wrigley Field on Opening Day of the 2015 MLB season. The Cubs lost to the St. Louis Cardinals that night, so maybe just Patrick solo will reverse their karma.
Game 3 of the World Series kicks…

Evanescence kicks off a headlining tour tonight in Dallas. The trip will be a relatively short one -- it wraps up November 23 -- but frontwoman Amy Lee says the band will embark on a more expansive tour once they have one key ingredient.
"When we do another fuller tour, it'll be when we have new music," Lee tells ABC Radio.
In the meantime, Lee has been delving into Evanescence's past as she puts together the band's upcoming The Ultimate Collection vinyl box set, which is due out in December. She thinks that some of those relics from the past…

"When I joined the band, they had this 'demo' that sounded amazing, it sounded huge," Grohl says in the clip. "It sounded different than the things that they had done before, and everyone talked about Butch."
Vig co-founded Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin with his Garbage band mate Steve Marker in 1983. Along with Nirvana, bands including The Smashing Pumpkins, Fall…
