Judah & the Lion has shared a cover of the Foo Fighters song "Monkey Wrench." The "Take It All Back" rockers recorded the cover for pop culture website A.V. Club's A.V. Undercover series.
While "Monkey Wrench" is one of the hardest-rocking songs in the Foos discography -- which certainly isn't short on hard-rocking songs -- Judah takes a softer, slower approach with their version of the track, using a mandolin and banjo to replicate its main riff.
Judah & the Lion is currently on tour opening for Incubus and Jimmy Eat World. They'll launch their own headlining tour in the…
Godsmack frontman Sully Erna has partnered with the Mark Walhberg Youth Foundation, established by actor Mark Wahlberg, to raise awareness of opioid addiction. Together, they created a video for Erna's song "Different Kind of Tears" that features parents speaking out about losing their children to opioids.
"Most of the charity work I have done is based around helping out inner-city kids to begin with -- since I was that kid myself once -- and especially since the opioid problem is now so severe in my hometown of Lawrence, Massachusetts," says Erna in a statement. "This song and video echo the…
The 911 call from the night of Chris Cornell's death in Detroit has been released. ABC Detroit affiliate WXYZ has obtained audio from the call between dispatch and an employee of the MGM Grand hotel, where the late Soundgarden frontman was staying.
"I have a non-responsive guest in the hotel, a 50-year-old male ," the employee says.
"Non-responsive -- he's not breathing?" dispatch replied. "No," the employee answered. "They found out that the guest is attempting to hang himself, so they’re trying to get him down so they can assist with CPR."
Cornell died the early morning of May 18.…
Falling in Reverse has shared the video for their track "Superhero," filmed in the style of the popular sci-fi Netflix series Stranger Things. You can watch the clip now on YouTube.
The clip doesn't include any Demogorgon hunting, though. Instead, it finds four kids trying to build a rocket ship as a way of escaping the very real abuse they experience each day, from bullies to alcoholic parents.
"Superhero" is a track from Falling in Reverse's latest album, Coming Home. The band is playing a number of festival dates this summer, including stops on Warped Tour, and they're planning a…

The OKNOTOK boxed edition includes a book of lyrics and never-before-seen artwork, a collection of Thom Yorke's notes taken during the OK Computer sessions, and a cassette mix tape featuring "session archives and demo tapes." You can order it now…

The vocalist left the tour in June after a turbulent show in Tilburg, The Netherlands that was filled with sound issues and onstage arguments. During the show, Moody declared, "This is my last show…

Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows is the latest artist to pick his 10 favorite metal albums for Rolling Stone. The vocalist's list includes classics like Metallica's Master of Puppets and Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast, plus more modern albums like Korn's self-titled debut and System of a Down's Toxicity.
"When I made this list, I was trying to think of records that really impacted me stylistically, like, 'Wow, you can do that with heavy metal,'" Shadows explains. "So I tried to think of those landmark moments in my life when I heard a different sound that sparked something."
Other artists who've…
American Valhalla, the documentary about Iggy Pop and Josh Homme's collaborative album Post Pop Depression, will screen in U.S. theaters today. As director Andreas Neumann explains, the film was made in the same manner as the album: with no concrete idea how it would wind up.
"The album was made in secret and without any pressure, really, and if it [hadn't] turned out the way they wanted it to turn out, they would've just buried it the sand, as Josh says," Neumann tells ABC Radio. "I guess we took the same approach with the film, as well."
Neumann co-directed American…
